Story County Youth Philanthropists

Story County Youth Philanthropists (SCYP) is a group for high school students throughout Story County designed to involve youth in meaningful ways in the philanthropic tradition, encourage youth to give and serve in their communities, and to make philanthropy a "habit of the heart" for future generations.

The youth meet twice a month to learn about philanthropy and gain leadership skills. Ultimately, they will grant out $5,000 (set aside by the Story County Community Foundation) to agencies and causes of their choice. This is a joint effort between the Volunteer Center of Story County and the Story County Community Foundation.
