United Way of Story County raises funds throughout the county to be distributed to its 30 partner agencies. Partner agencies provide assistance to more than 30,000 Story County residents of all ages, backgrounds, and interests. The Volunteer Center of Story County is proud to be a partner agency of United Way of Story County.
1-800-Volunteer.org is a service of the Points of Light Foundation Volunteer Center National Network — a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to engaging more people and resources more effectively in volunteer service to help solve serious social problems.

The City of Nevada, Iowa, provides financial assistance to the VCSC to better serve Nevada and surrounding areas in Story County.
