Students in Action provides high school and college students in Story County the opportunity to develop:
            Leadership skills.
            Philanthropic behaviors.
            Volunteer experience.

SIA GOALS:
    Create a network of youth motivated to share
       gifts of service. 
    Help members see themselves as current
       active citizens and future leaders.
    Provide members with authority to 
       make decisions.
    Train members in diversity, communication,
       conflict resolution, and team building.
    Help members model positive behaviors as
       role models for community youth.

SIA ACTIVITIES:
    Educational meetings.
    Volunteer activities.
    Fundraising.
    Grant-making.

EXAMPLES OF SIA ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
    Neighborhood playground construction 
       and beautification projects.
    Join Hands Day.
    Day of Caring.
    Philanthropy projects with partnership with 
      ISU Student Volunteer Services.
    Outreach Africa Project.

SIA MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
    Current enrollment in Iowa State University or 
      a Story County high school.
    Committment to attend monthly meetings and outside volunteer activities
