SHARE
SHARE stands for "Self Help and Resource Exchange." The SHARE program is a way to say "thank you" to community volunteers by offering them a changing selection of quality food packages at reduced prices. Each month, SHARE distributes the food packages at Heartland Senior Services, 2505 S. Walnut, Ames.
The only requirement for participating in SHARE is two hours of volunteer service to another person or persons in the community and order placement prior to the monthly order deadline.
To order food packages, make your selection(s) and prepay at the Volunteer Center of Story County, Ames RSVP, Heartland Senior Services, or MICA (prepayment required; EBT accepted). Then pick up your order at Heartland on distribution day. Deadlines for ordering and distribution change monthly.
