Students in Action

Students in Action promotes and supports volunteerism and community service by high school and college students in Story County. Members fulfill school and community service requirements, explore career options, learn new skills, build a positive work ethic, develop leadership skills, and make a difference in the community.

SINGLES Volunteering

Join other Singles around the area in a volunteer project. Past projects include planting trees and building bunkbeds at Threshold Learning Center, assisting with the Senior Olympics at Bethany Manor, volunteering at RAGBRAI, and serving a meal at Food at First. Future projects could be anything from doing park clean-up, working with children, and much more. All are welcome! (Disclaimer: This is not a dating service, it is just a fun opportunity for people to meet each other and help the community at the same time). E-mail amanda.martin@vcstory.org to get on the e-mail list.

SHARE

SHARE stands for "Self Help and Resource Exchange." The SHARE program is a way to say "thank you" to community volunteers by offering them a changing selection of quality food packages at reduced prices. The only requirement for participating in SHARE is two hours of volunteer service to another person or persons in the community and order placement prior to the monthly order deadline.
